Our Story

During 2010, Luis Manuel and Veronica left their beloved Venezuela, with their baby daughter Daniela, to begin a new life & adventure in Toronto.

Luis Ma found his passion when cooking for family & friends, inspired by his cultural diversity and creativity in the kitchen. He changed his career for his passion opening his first restaurant that later led to his own catering company. Once in Toronto, he still had the urge to continue cooking to make people happy.

Vero, a Chemical Engineer, somehow got caught in an extensive career in Marketing. Although she still pursues her corporate career, she puts her marketing skills in use to propel their family project.

When they arrived in Canada, they first had to establish themselves and work in more traditional jobs, yet they always had a dream of having their own restaurant. Migrating is no easy task and requires a fair share of capital just to reach your destination. However, these issues did not bind their dreams. By 2015, their idea of a restaurant soon became the reality of a quaint, friendly, very professional food truck that serves amazing, healthy and delicious Venezuelan dishes with passion to a wonderful crowd of welcoming people in the Toronto area.

He is our Driver. Yes he doesn´t only drive the truck, but he also drives the business, as well as driving us all to do our best. He is the man behind the recipes and the magical combinations of flavours & textures, bringing the best of Venezuela in each plate we serve.

Verónica

Vero is the Motor of the team. She moves our business & marketing strategies, advertising & communication initiatives, as well as our client service for our truck and catering services. And she is the best mom ever! Ask Daniela & Andrés!

Let’s start with our small fries, Daniela & Andrés. They are our inspiration to do things better every day, the reason for being in Canada to offer them a brighter future. They are our little hands that often help us and warm up our hearts.

Daniela Dynamite, a petite yet powerful asset to our crew, Daniela keeps everything in order, planned and in motion behind the scenes, so that everything works like clockwork. She is the one responsible for those perfectly round arepas … and that is one tough task

Rosirys

Rosirys is Dr. Arepa. No joke, yes, she is a doctor! We are so fortunate to have her on board. She keeps us all in balance, helping us manage the stress that comes with cooking & serving a beautiful crowd in a teenie-tiny space filled with the crew. And she always, always will offer you a smile.
